I had the distinct pleasure of photographing these two young ladies while I was out on a workshop. The workshop was held outdoors on a warm and sunny August afternoon. These two were out on a stroll when the workshop organizer spotted them and asked if they wanted to model.

It was a pleasant surprise when they wholeheartedly agreed. Both of them had just finished high school and wer

e best friends. They wanted to enjoy the last bit of summer and hold on to their friendship just a bit longer before they went their separate, post-secondary ways.

My goal for this workshop was to capture the feelings of happiness at the new university adventure ahead of them as well as to obtain a fleeting glimpse of the sadness of a temporarily divided friendship.
