You have a story and that is what I want to capture for you to cherish and marvel about. I delight in the way events, moments, instances are born, flourish and then dissipate into the tendrils of memory…
That’s me and my wife over there off to the right. As you can see, I love taking photos of things that capture my fancy. My wife tolerates this and enjoys helping with the photography! So, it’s a win-win-win for us and our valued friends and clients.
Come and give us a ring and let us know how we can capture your special moments.
Very sincerely,

Calgary Stampede 2010 – Fireworks
Today is the last day of the Calgary Stampede and I wanted to share a video that my wife made when we went on Friday. The last time I had seen the fireworks at the Stampede was in 1999
Now that was a long time ago!
So it was a fun trip down memory lane to see the fireworks again. Here is a short video for you to enjoy. If you listen carefully, you can hear my new Nikon D700′s shutter clicking away in the background.
I’ll also pop in for a brief look around the 40 second mark.
Hope you had a great time at the Stampede too!
Melanie
A few weekends ago, I had the chance to work with Melanie to help her develop her portfolio. I had a great time working with her.
We started early in the morning and were finished in about 90 minutes. During that time we took quite a number of photos in a few outfits and areas.
Here are the photos for you to enjoy.
Sangeet & Mehndi
An Indian wedding is an event that spans several days where families, neighbours, guests, and many more get together to celebrate a union of two souls.
One of the events preceding the actual wedding ceremony is what is known as the “sangeet” ceremony where both families come together informally to rejoice and make merry prior to the wedding.
Sangeet – Hindi word meaning “music”
Mehndi – Temporary body art applied on the skin by an artist; the dye is made from henna which is made from the dried leaf and petiole of Lawsonia alba
I was privileged to be the photographer for the sangeet and mehndi evening for this lovely young couple that I met last year.
Please enjoy these photos.
Calgary – CEMC U of C Photos
For one week in June, young female students from all around Canada are hosted by a participating post-secondary institution to “ignite enthusiasm for computer science in female students from across Canada.”
This initiative was originally started by the University of Waterloo in 1995 to promote and create activities and materials in mathematics and computer science. Today, 15 years later, it is Canada’s largest and most recognized outreach organization for these activities.
I was invited by the Department of Computer Science at the University of Calgary to take some photos of these young students.
You can find more details about the CEMC by visiting this link; there is also an article posted at the University of Calgary regarding the week-long event.
Please enjoy these photos.
Calgary Senior Photography – Rebecca
Rebecca has now graduated from high school in Calgary and is looking forward to an exciting future as an undergrad student at a prestigious university in Canada. I was fortunate to be able to get in contact and work with her to create some nice looks for her.
It was such a pleasure for me to work with Rebecca and I want to wish her all the best for her future studies!
Good luck!
ImaginAsian – Bollywood ExtravaDanza
Last month, I was invited by Asian Heritage Calgary to attend and partake of Asian Heritage Month in Calgary. The event was “Bollywood ExtravaDanza” held at the Nirvana Banquet Hall and it was their final event in celebration of Asian Heritage Month.
Here is a snippet of what the evening had to offer…
